NorthKey (School-Based Services) The familiar school setting often provides a natural and comfortable place for children to learn new skills, improve their self-esteem and enhance social and communication skills. In relation to substance abuse, Northkey offers school-based services that include:
Individual, family and group therapy in the school setting.
Consultation with teachers and other academic program personnel.
Groups focused on prevention and early intervention for substance use.
Screening and referral to other appropriate community-based services.
Community education and parent workshops
When required, our school-based team also facilitates referral to other NorthKey services, including adult behavioral health services, substance use services, prevention services and developmental disabilities services
