Telehealth is the use of telecommunications technology to provide real-time health care to patients at a remote location.
Our system is simple and HIPAA compliant. Best of all, it does not require downloads!
Patients will not need to make an account. They can simply go to the url provided to them by our office. Patients will wait in a virtual waiting room until their provider begins the call.
Calls can include video or not. It is up to each individual to determine if he/she would like to do so.
Adult Responsibilities Adults will be asked to sign consent for telecommunications. They will also be asked to find a private location for the session to occur for themselves or their children.
Services for Children Having been raised in the age of technology. Children often prefer telecommunications and are more relaxed in their own environment when sessions are conducted.
Non-Traditional Instruction Meets Telehealth As families adjust to a new normal and more students are away from school, telehealth appointments are far more flexible and do not require students to miss academic instruction. As part of their routine, students can incorporate mental health psychoeducation and therapy in their day. It helps to have social connection and emotional support when social distancing is advised.
Non-Traditional Assessment Meets Telehealth Psychological assessment has been trending toward digital formatting for over 7 years. Having the option to take a test on paper or on a screen is nothing new, depending on the type of test. We will attempt online testing to the extent needed and, when there are in-person appointments required, those can occur in a secure office setting.
